Sudanese wildlife society (SWS) organized world migratory bird day and global big day birding. The celebration aims to raise the awareness for protection and conservation of migratory birds and their habitats, under the theme DIM LIGHTS FOR BIRDS AT NIGHT. The activities of the two events were; two days of bird watching and counting which were conducted in two different sites namely; Alrai Elmasri (Elshagra) and Om doum Island, Khartoum state. The third day was awareness and educational lectures which were held in Sama resort, Nile Street, Khartoum state.
